                   In order to use custom themes or MSStyles on your computer you need to patch up your Uxtheme.dll file. Otherwise you can only use signed themes that are created by Microsoft.

*Replacing system files is not always dangerous but if you want you might want to set a restore point.
Note: There are two ways to accomplish this please try the 1st one first then if you are unsuccessful then you can try the 2nd one.

1. Okay first you need to find out which Service Pack you are running. To do this simple press the Windows flag key + Pause/Break key. This is going to open the system properties window. Here it is going to say which service pack you are running
2. Now you have some downloading to do.
First get: The appropriate Uxtheme.dll file
If you are running Service Pack 1 then get this file.
If you are running Service Pack 2 then get this file.
3. Unzip the file to your desktop
4. Now you need to download the Replacer(I recommend getting a stable version). The replacer efficiently replaces your system files and is supposed to be completely safe. This program also backs up your file in case you need to revert the changes.
5. Unzip the Replacer to your desktop. Make sure you read the “readme” because it has some important tips on how to revert those changes that you made.

Now you are ready to replace your uxtheme.dll file

1. Now double click on the replacer file (replacer.cmd)
2. Then it will ask you to drag and drop the original system file you want to replace. So go to the System32 folder and somewhere near the bottom you are going to see the uxtheme.dll file. Drag and drop it into the window.
Note: your computer may have more than 1 uxtheme.dll file but usually the file that you computer is using is the one in the system32 folder. (usually the location for your Uxtheme.dll file is C:\WINDOWS\system32\uxtheme.dll)
3. Press Enter
4. Then it will ask you to drag the file you want to replace. Open the folder with the downloaded file and drag and drop the file into replacer.
5. Now it will ask you to confirm that you want to replace the files or not. So double check and then press enter.

Replacer will now swap your original file with the new one. Now restart your computer.

Congratulations you can now use custom msstyle themes on your computer. Which is going to make your computer look super cool!

To change your theme just right click on desktop» properties» appearances tab» Windows and buttons

If you cannot Open Disk Drive On Double Click Tuesday, May 27 2008

Problem:

Double click on disk drive (C:\  D:\ E:\….)in my computer doest open the drive, instead get error as:

1) Access  Denied

2) Choose the program you want to use to open this file with.

3) VBScript error with error code of 800A041F

4) Drive opens in new windows.

 

Cause:

Your system is infected by some virus/ spyware .A autorun.vbs file is created by virus which is causing this problem. The virus creates autorun.inf file to root folder of all hard disk drive or USB drive/ external storage devices.This files creates a autorun.reg file and make some changes in windows registry.

 

Solution:

1) Log in as Administrator or user with admininstrator rights.

2) Turn Off system restore.

  Start–>> Right Click My Computer–>> Properties–>> Systen Restore Tab–>>Turn off     System Restore on all drives–>> Apply–>> Ok.

1) Launch Task Manager by pressing alt+ctrl+del

2) click on processes tab.

3) Find wscript.exe, If it is running end this process..

4) End EXPLORER.EXE process from Task Manager

5) In task manager, click File–>> New Task (Run..)–>> type cmd –> ok

6) Command prompt will open.Type these commands one by one after Enter key:

del c:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a

del d:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a

del e:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a

 

c:/ D:/ E:/ are disk drives.

 

7) Again in Task Manager–>>File –>> New Task (Run…)–>>Type regedit –>> OK.

8) Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

 

9) Find this key: userint.exe

make sure its value is Userinit”=”C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

If, It is not, than changed value to this value.

 

10) Restarst system.Done!!!

The Tata Rs 1-lakh car is here! And it’s called the Nano!

             Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata on Thursday,10 January, 2008 unveiled the Tata Nano at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi.  

Ratan Tata, while unveiling the Nano, said: “The car will meet all current safety norms and all emission criteria. The pollution it will cause will be lower than 2-wheelers.”

The car, he said, is smaller than a Maruti 800, but has 21 per cent more volume or space inside than the 800. He said that the dealer price of the car will be Rs 1 lakh, plus value-added tax (VAT) plus transport charges.

The car’s dashboard features just a speedometer, fuel gauge, and oil light. The car does not have reclining seats or radio. The shock absorbers are basic.

It will sport a 30-litre fuel tank and 4-speed manual gearshift. One of Nano’s three versions will come with air conditioning, but will have no power steering. It will have front disk and rear drum brakes. The company claims mileage of 23 km per litre.

The Nano, designed with a family in mind, has a roomy passenger compartment with generous leg space and head room. It can comfortably seat four persons. Four doors with high seating position make ingress and egress easy.

Yet with a length of 3.1 metres, width of 1.5 metres and height of 1.6 metres, with adequate ground clearance, it can effortlessly manoeuvre on busy roads in cities as well as in rural areas.

How to remove the virus ” Orkut is Banned “ Thursday, Dec 20 2007

When we opened Orkut.

Orkut is banned you fool, The administrators didnt write this program guess who did?? MUHAHAHA!! with title ORKUT IS BANNED.

Well, a similar message was displayed for YouTube also. So I went through all the posts, and finally found a solution given here:

 

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the processes tab
2. Look for svchost.exe under the image name. There will be many but look for the ones which have your username under the username
3. Press DEL to kill these files. It will give you a warning, Press Yes
4. Repeat for more svchost.exe files with your username and repeat. Do not kill svchost.exe with system, local service or network service!
5. Now open My Computer
6. In the address bar, type C:\heap41a and press enter. It is a hidden folder, and is not visible by default.
7. Delete all the files here
8. Now go to Start –> Run and type Regedit
9. Go to the menu Edit –> Find
10. Type “heap41a” here and press enter. You will get something like this “[winlogon] C:\heap41a\svchost.exe C:\heap(some number)\std.txt”
11. Select that and Press DEL. It will ask “Are you sure you want to delete this value?”, click Yes
12. Now close the registry editor.

Now the virus is gone. But be sure to delete the autorun.inf file and any folder whose name ends with .exe in the pen drive.

NOTE:It seems that they have named this malware as w32.USBWorm and according my friend, Avast is able to detect and remove it. I hope the other antivirus software will also be able to remove it soon.
